About Us

Like many young New Zealanders and Australians I grew up playing rugby in the winter and cricket in the summer. And as is so often the case, the love of these codes transcended beyond the games themselves, but also to the kits the top players wore and the gear they used. Birthdays and Christmases usually involved a new rugby jersey, while trips to the shops would often result in me shadow batting in Rebel Sport (the Kookaburra Kahuna with the graphite back that Ricky Ponting used was a personal fave). 

So in 2018 when people couldn't seem to get enough of vintage apparel from American sports teams, while the local teams that we grew up rooting for were getting no love, it did not sit right with us. From there the idea of ANZ Sporting Archive was born and for several years we sourced and sold thousands of jerseys to our satisfied customers via our ANZ Sporting Archive Instagram page before launching our website in 2022.
